Recruitment Coordinator – Volunteer (Remote, 5 hours/week)

Have some recruitment experience and want to keep building it? Join our People & Culture Team and take ownership of recruiting the volunteers who make our events happen. You will manage candidates from application through to offer, with support and mentoring from a senior HR professional with over 20 years of experience.

This role is fully remote and flexible, so it fits around study, work or family. It suits someone who has worked in recruitment, HR or talent acquisition and wants to stay active, broaden their experience or give back while between roles.

What you will be doing

• Screening applications: reviewing incoming applications against role requirements and shortlisting suitable candidates
• Candidate communication: contacting applicants, answering their questions and keeping them updated so they have a good experience with us
• Interviewing: scheduling and helping run interviews, and contributing to hiring decisions
• Recruitment tracking: keeping our recruitment tracker accurate and up to date as candidates move through each stage
• Advertising roles: writing and posting volunteer role ads, and finding new places to reach good candidates
• Handover to onboarding: making sure successful candidates move smoothly into onboarding, and supporting general People & Culture tasks when needed

What we are looking for

• At least 6 months of experience in recruitment, talent acquisition or HR (paid or volunteer)
• Experience screening applications and coordinating or conducting interviews
• Organised and reliable, with good attention to detail
• Friendly and confident communicating with a wide range of people
• Good judgement when handling confidential information
• Nice to have: not-for-profit or volunteer recruitment experience, and familiarity with Google Workspace or applicant tracking systems
