About the Role Help amplify our mission of planetary and global healing by shaping our online voice. We’re looking for a creative and motivated volunteer Social Media Manager to support our organisation’s digital presence. This role is ideal for a TAFE or university student, or anyone studying media, communications, digital marketing, or a related field who wants to build a strong portfolio while contributing to meaningful work. You’ll work closely with the CEO and take ownership of the social media management and content creation that helps our community grow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Social media copywriting - Write engaging posts for Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn and our blog.
  • Video editing - Edit and upload short form videos, including Instagram Reels and other platforms.
  • Graphic design - Create visually appealing posts, stories and promotional assets.
  • Event promotion - Support awareness and attendance through digital channels.
  • Community engagement - Respond to comments and messages with warmth and professionalism.
  • Newsletter creation - Develop and distribute a monthly volunteer newsletter.

About You

  • Content creation experience or coursework (TAFE, university or equivalent).
  • Basic knowledge of social media platforms and how audiences engage with them.
  • Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Express, or other design tools.
  • Ability to edit short videos using tools like CapCut, Adobe Premiere Rush, or similar.
  • Strong written communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and bring creative ideas to the table.
  • A genuine interest in environmental wellbeing, global healing, and positive social impact.
