Are you a traveling couple looking for a rewarding, extended stay in the sunny Gascoyne?
The Carnarvon Heritage Group (a registered charity) is seeking an enthusiastic, friendly caretaker couple to join our team at the iconic One Mile Jetty Heritage Precinct and Babbage Island Railway Museum! Be a part of preserving WA’s history while enjoying everything Carnarvon has to offer.
⚙️ THE ROLE & ROSTER
Enjoy a flexible schedule designed to give you plenty of time to explore the region:
- Roster: Variable, but normally 2 to 3 days on, followed by 3 days off!
- Duties: Welcoming visitors, collecting entry fees/donations, opening/closing the museum gates, general grounds tidiness, and sharing local history with travelers.
✨ WHAT WE PROVIDE (THE PERKS)
In exchange for your rostered days, we supply you with a dedicated, secure live-in setup on Babbage Island:
- FREE powered caravan site.
- FREE mains water.
- FREE access to on-site amenities (including laundry/washing machine).
- A fantastic, community-minded team environment right on the coast.
📋 WHAT YOU NEED
- Your own fully self-contained caravan or motorhome.
- A friendly, reliable attitude and great customer service skills.
- A recent National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain one).
- Commitment: A 2 to 3-month stay is preferred, but this is negotiable for the right couple.
