We need people like you to support our mission!

The role of the Shuttle Bus Driver is to transport families to and from the Royal Children’s Hospital and other hospitals in the region. At times drivers may assist families staying at the house by driving them to appointments, the airport, to run errands or go on outings.

You may also help us by transporting donated goods.

Shuttle Bus drivers enable families to be more mobile without the stress or cost of public transport or taxi services.

Shuttle Bus Drivers are needed on several days throughout the week, from 8am to 8pm.

The ideal candidate will:

hold a full current drivers licence
have a proven ability to drive safely and follow road rules and regulations
be friendly and approachable
have a good knowledge of the Melbourne Metropolitan area

Full induction and training as well as shadow shifts will be arranged

Time required

We have some volunteers who have been with us for over 21 years, and while we don’t expect that commitment from everyone, we do want to cultivate volunteer relationships that are long-lasting! Volunteers must be able to commit to at least 1 shifts a month for a minimum of 6 months of service.

Reimbursement

No cost to you to join us. We cover everything including a National Police Check.

Our team, including employees and volunteers, must meet high standards to ensure they prevent and report abuse. All roles are subject to compliance and reference checks and are subject to relevant state/territory legislation.
