Front of House at Our Big Kitchen (Female Only)
Our Big Kitchen (OBK) is a community-driven volunteer kitchen in Bondi where people come together to cook, connect, and contribute to meaningful food relief programs. Our Front of House volunteers play an important role in creating a welcoming, safe, and organised environment for everyone who enters the kitchen.
Key Duties
- Welcome and check in volunteers and visitors on arrival
- Provide basic orientation and guide volunteers to their shift areas
- Support smooth flow of volunteer sign-in and sign-out processes
- Assist with communication between kitchen staff and volunteers
- Help maintain a friendly, organised front area
- Provide general administrative and reception-style support as needed
Skills & Experience Needed
- Friendly, approachable, and confident communication skills
- Ability to engage with a diverse range of people
- Organised and reliable
- Comfortable working in a busy, team-based environment
- No prior experience required, training is provided
