A Code Club operates in accordance with the model set out by the global Code Club community.

The Code Club is not a classroom, but a fun and social session where young people gain knowledge through self-directed learning and exploring ideas with their peers. Code Club aims to provide IT skills to young people, that are becoming increasingly essential in the job market.

As a volunteer, you will provide support, guidance, and encouragement for young people to complete their projects and develop their skill. Volunteering as a Code Mentor will give you the chance to improve your coding abilities, to help shape the new generation of digital creators, and to add code mentoring to your skill-set. A WWC and a Police Clearance will be required to take on the role, The City of Stirling will help to complete the applications and costings as part of your volunteer registration process.
