Be the Bright Spot In Robyn's Week

Robyn is in her 90s and lives in residential aged care. While she enjoys visits from her children and grandchildren, she would also value the company of a friend who shares her interests and can spend time with her regularly. After losing her husband of 70 years a few years ago, Robyn has been adjusting to a new chapter in life and would welcome the opportunity to build a meaningful connection with a volunteer visitor.
Bring joy through simple outings, by accompanying Robyn on occasional trips to the shops, giving her a sense of freedom and a change of scenery.
Robyn has lived a very busy life. She loves to chat and has a generally positive outlook, making every visit uplifting and mutually rewarding.
Your companionship will offer crucial comfort and friendship as she navigates life without her husband.
We're looking for a kind and reliable volunteer who can commit to regular visits and enjoys connecting with others through shared interests, practical activities and conversation.
As a Wesley volunteer, you'll receive:
- Ongoing support from your Wesley Volunteer Coordinator
- Training and guidance to help you get started
- A carefully considered match
- Invitations to volunteer recognition and celebration events
If you can spare an hour a fortnight, we'd love to hear from you.
Sometimes the best way to build a friendship is to start with a shared interest.
