Canines, Coffee and Companionship for Julie

Julie is in her late 70s and lives in residential aged care. Since moving into care, she has missed having someone to share regular conversation and companionship with. Her family care about her deeply but aren't able to visit as often as she would like.
Like many older people living in aged care, Julie would value a genuine friendship with someone who shares her interests. Gentle and conversational in nature, she loves animals, especially dogs, and enjoys spending time outdoors. She would love a chat in the garden and appreciates simple pleasures and good company.
You might spend time together chatting over a coffee, enjoying the garden, or visiting a local café.
We're looking for a kind and reliable volunteer who can commit to regular visits and enjoys connecting with others through shared interests and conversation.
As a Wesley volunteer, you'll receive:
- Ongoing support from your Wesley Volunteer Coordinator
- Training and guidance to help you get started
- A carefully considered match
- Invitations to volunteer recognition and celebration events
If you can spare an hour a fortnight, we'd love to hear from you.
Sometimes the best friendships begin with a shared interest and a simple conversation.
