Donations Sorting and Processing Team Member
St Vincent De Paul Society Queensland supported by Volunteering Queensland

Make every donation count
Every item sorted, packed and prepared helps quality goods reach Vinnies shops, stay out of landfill and generate funds that support people and families across Queensland. As a Donations Sorting and Processing Team Member at our Richlands Distribution Centre, you will help transform community donations into practical support for people experiencing hardship.
What you’ll be doing
Depending on the donations received and the needs of the team, you may support with:
- Sort clothing, shoes, homewares, books, toys and other donated goods.
- Check items for quality and suitability for sale.
- Identify branded, collectible or high-value pieces.
- Prepare, pack and organise stock for delivery to Vinnies shops.
- Help keep the centre safe, tidy and welcoming.
You do not need to be an expert in donated goods. We will provide induction, guidance and safety training to help you get started confidently.
You could be a great fit if you
- Have a friendly, positive and reliable approach
- Enjoy practical, hands-on activities
- Like working as part of a team
- Have good attention to detail
Experience in retail, warehousing, logistics or stock processing would be helpful, but it is not essential. An interest in clothing, fashion, brands, collectibles or homewares would also be valuable.
What you’ll gain
- Meaningful work that supports your community
- Meet new people and become part of a friendly and supportive team
- Learn new skills while giving back to your community
- Volunteer discounts and team morning teas
