🌻Light Gardening with Patients🌸, HammondCare Riverglen (Macquarie Hospital)

🌻 Light Gardening with Patients in Riverglen - Older Person's Mental Health Care at Macquarie Hospital 🌻
Engage patients in simple planting and nurturing of seedlings in raised garden beds
Connect with patients in our Older Persons’ Mental Health unit at North Ryde while brightening up our new garden. As a volunteer, you will offer companionship and gently encourage participation in some planting, watering and/or weeding in the raised garden beds. You will spend time with the patients, be a good listener, and enjoy social engagement.
This role is all about kindness, presence, and the power of sharing a creative task. It’s a lovely way to brighten someone’s day and help them to connect with you, and with nature.
