Emerald Museum: Front-of-House Volunteer

Key Activities:
- Opening and closing the Museum in line with procedures and protocols.
- Greeting visitors and providing comprehensive information covering the history of the Museum and Nobelius Heritage Park, current exhibitions and displays, and upcoming events.
- Collecting visitor data through postcode surveys and feedback forms.
- Taking cash and EFTPOS payments for donations and merchandise.
- Supervising visitor engagement in the Museum and maintaining awareness to protect the safety of visitors, staff and volunteers, as well as the integrity of artefacts.
- Replenishing brochures, pamphlets and merchandise as needed.
- Complying with all occupational health and safety practices and procedures at the Museum.
- Opportunity to support the Museum in other activities outside of regular volunteering hours, including programming, research and exhibition installation, is optional.
About You:
- A keen interest in engaging the public.
- Friendly and approachable manner with strong communication skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a team environment with people from diverse backgrounds.
- A valid Volunteer Working With Children Check, or ability to obtain one.
- A National Police Check, or ability to obtain one.
