Riverbank Clean-Up & Guided Walk ~ Mangrove Cove! (Thurs 12th Nov)
Conservation Volunteers Australia
Over four weeks away
Come along and celebrate Mangrove Month with CVA, Port Environment Centre and PAE Council. Enjoy a fun morning meeting new people, helping nature and enjoying some time outside! Start the day by taking action with a clean-up, walking a short distance from Lartelare Park to Mangrove Cove along the Port River to clear rubbish from this important habitat.
We'll be joined by Willis Daveson, the Cultural Ranger from Yipti Yaartapultiku, who will talk about the importance of the Port River and mangrove ecosystems, and the unique animals and plants that call this area home. Catherine McMahon from the Friends of Port River will also join us to share her knowledge of the area and discuss South Australia's first large scale Living Shoreline project at Yipti Yaartapultiku.
Morning tea will be provided to enjoy with fellow nature lovers after your hard work! If you would like any further information about this event, please contact Rosie 0448 112 063 [email protected]
