Key Responsibilities
Group Activities
- Assist with arts and crafts activities.
- Support residents during group activities and encourage participation.
- Assist with setting up and packing away activity materials and equipment.
- Help facilitate games and recreational activities.
Bingo and Entertainment
- Call bingo numbers during scheduled bingo sessions.
- Assist residents to follow the game and participate independently where possible.
- Help distribute and collect bingo cards and resources.
Resident Companionship
- Spend one-on-one time with residents through conversation and social interaction.
- Read books, newspapers or magazines with residents.
- Support residents who may prefer individual engagement rather than group activities.
- Provide companionship and assist residents to remain socially connected.
Gardening Activities
- Assist residents with light gardening activities.
- Support planting, watering and maintaining garden areas.
- Encourage residents to participate in gardening projects and outdoor activities where appropriate.
