Volunteer Experience Social Media and Content Creator

Duties
- Create engaging social media content that showcases the experiences, stories and achievements of PMI Queensland volunteers.
- Capture photos, videos and short-form content at volunteer activities, events and recognition initiatives.
- Develop and publish content for platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram and other relevant channels.
- Collaborate with the Volunteer Experience team to promote volunteer opportunities, campaigns and community initiatives.
- Contribute creative ideas to strengthen volunteer engagement, recognition and the overall PMI Queensland volunteer experience.

- Storytelling: Ability to turn volunteer experiences and everyday moments into engaging stories.
- Content Creation: Ability to create engaging written, visual and/or video content for social media.
- Creative Thinking: Ability to generate fresh content ideas and identify opportunities to showcase our volunteers.
- Communication: Strong written and interpersonal communication skills, with confidence engaging with different people.
- Digital Skills: Familiarity with tools such as Canva, Instagram, LinkedIn, or similar content creation platforms.
Experience
- Experience creating content for social media, community groups, clubs, organisations or personal projects.
- Experience developing written, visual or video content for digital platforms.
- Experience capturing stories, interviews, photos or videos at events or activities.
- Experience using social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram or Facebook.
- Experience working collaboratively with volunteers, teams or community groups.
Education
- Study or qualification in Marketing, Communications, Media, Public Relations or a related field is desirable.
- Current university or TAFE student in a relevant discipline is welcome to apply.
- Background in Digital Media, Content Creation, Journalism or Design is advantageous.
- Short courses or certifications in social media, digital marketing or content creation are valued.
- No formal qualification required — demonstrated creativity and a strong portfolio or examples of work are equally valued.
