Hume L2P Program - Learner Driver Mentor
For a young person, having a driver’s licence creates employment, training, and social opportunities. In addition, your help will reduce the likelihood of crash involvement for young drivers. The connection that develops between learner and mentor over time is also fantastic. Full training is provided to mentors, as is a car for the learner to practice with. All you need is a full driver’s licence; police check and a positive attitude.
To be considered as a volunteer mentor you need to meet the following eligibility criteria:
Be over 21 years of age Hold current full Australian driver's licence Have a satisfactory full driver licence history report Be medically fit to drive (we may discuss this further through the application process)
Additionally, as part of the application process, you will be asked to provide*:
a valid (volunteer) Working with Children’s Check a satisfactory National Police Check
The L2P program can be a fantastic way for you to connect with and assist those in your local community. Currently, Hume L2P is recruiting new volunteers to continue this vital service. If this opportunity appeals to you and you are able to commit an hour a week, please register via TAC L2P Program: VicRoads or contact Mathew Goldsworthy on 0435 653 371 or [email protected]
