Activity Assistant - Basketball

π Volunteer with Our Basketball Program π
Make a real difference while sharing a love of sport. The Bridge is seeking volunteers to join our popular weekly basketball program, supporting people with disability and helping create a fun, inclusive, and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.
This is one of our busiest community programs, bringing together participants from multiple Day Service locations as well as people from other organisations. The atmosphere is energetic, social, and lots of fun, and we're looking for volunteers who can support participants to enjoy the session in a way that feels meaningful and comfortable for them.
What you'll do
- Support people with disability to participate in our basketball program
- Encourage social connection, teamwork, and inclusion
- Be a friendly and positive presence throughout the session
- Work alongside The Bridge staff to help create a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone
When and where
π Thursdays
π Approximately 10:00am to 12:00pm
π Cranbourne
Please note: Volunteers will need to make their own way to the stadium as capacity on The Bridge transport is limited.
Who we're looking for
- People who enjoy working with and supporting people with disability
- Individuals interested in active sport environments, especially basketball!
- Basketball experience is welcome but not required
- Friendly, reliable, patient, and community-minded people
