Community Transport Drivers   Help older people stay connected to the care and services they need.   We are seeking caring and reliable volunteers to join our Community Transport team at our MercyCare Harman Park centre in Belmont. We support older people to remain independent, connected, and living in their own homes for as long as possible.

As a Community Transport Driver, you will provide safe and friendly transport for clients travelling to medical appointments, services and activities who may otherwise have difficulty getting where they need to go.

As a Community Transport Driver Volunteer, you will:

  • Drive clients to and from medical appointments, shopping trips and community outings using a MercyCare vehicle.
  • Spend quality time and build meaningful relationships with clients.
  • Become a valuable member of our team with ongoing support throughout your volunteer journey.

Transport Shifts: Operates Monday to Friday during the day. We welcome volunteers who can commit to one regular weekly shift.

You will need to have a C Class Driver's License, minimum 4 year's driving experience, with a good driving record.

If you enjoy driving and would like to help older people remain connected to their community, we would love to hear from you!

If you have any questions, please call our Volunteer Lead on 0436 936 444.
