Independent Directors at Rugby League Central Coast
Help guide the future of community rugby league on the NSW Central Coast. Rugby League Central Coast (RLCC) invites expressions of interest from suitably qualified people for three Independent Director positions on our Board. These are unpaid volunteer roles.
Your professional experience can help strengthen RLCC's governance and support fair, well managed competitions for local players, clubs and families. You will work alongside other Directors to guide the association's decisions. Prior rugby league experience is not essential.

We are an incorporated association affiliated with the NSW Rugby League. Our clubs, volunteers, players and officials make rugby league one of the largest and most connected community sports on the Coast.

Skills and experience
We welcome candidates with skills and experience in two or more of the following areas:
A connection to, or passion for, community sport on the Central Coast is desirable. Independence and professional capability are the priority.
Independence and appointment
Under the RLCC Constitution, an Independent Director must not be a director or employee of a Member club and must, in the opinion of the Board, be able to exercise autonomous judgement.
The terms of the three current Independent Directors have concluded, and all three positions are open. Retiring Independent Directors are eligible to apply for reappointment.
Expressions of interest will be assessed, and the three Independent Directors selected, by the elected directors appointed by our Member clubs, in accordance with the RLCC Constitution. One of the three appointed Independent Directors will be elected as Chairperson of the Board.
How to apply
Apply through SEEK Volunteer to register your interest. To complete your expression of interest, please email a brief cover letter addressing your relevant skills and experience, together with a current CV, to [email protected]. Use the subject line EOI - Independent Director.
Applications close at 5pm on Friday, 30 October 2026, NSW local time. All expressions of interest will be treated confidentially and assessed on merit. Candidates may be invited to meet with the elected directors.
Successful applicants must complete a Police Check, hold or obtain a NSW Working with Children Check and complete standard probity requirements.
