Volunteer Storage & Logistics Coordinator

Help create safe, welcoming homes for families rebuilding their lives.
At Friends with Dignity, we support individuals and families impacted by domestic and family violence, helping them rebuild their lives with safety, dignity and hope.
Our Sanctuary Program transforms houses into fully furnished, welcoming homes for people starting over. Behind every Sanctuary is a dedicated team of volunteers ensuring furniture and household essentials are ready when they're needed.
We're looking for a reliable, organised and hands-on VIC Storage & Logistics Coordinator to help manage our Victorian storage facility and keep everything running smoothly.
What you'll be doing
- Coordinate the day-to-day organisation of our Victorian storage facility.
- Assess and accept donated furniture and household essentials.
- Organise donation collections using site vehicles and volunteer support.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and monitor stock levels.
- Coordinate furniture deliveries to Sanctuary projects through our preferred removalist.
- Arrange access for support workers collecting essential items for Urgent Requests.
- Support and coordinate a small team of volunteers.
- Provide monthly updates to our Logistics and Warehouse Manager and identify stock shortages.
What we're looking for
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A reliable, proactive approach and willingness to take initiative.
- Good communication and the ability to coordinate volunteers.
- Confidence maintaining records and managing stock.
- Physical ability to safely undertake manual handling.
- A current Australian driver's licence.
- Previous experience in warehousing, logistics or coordination is an advantage, but not essential.
Time commitment
Minimum one day per week, with flexible scheduling. Some additional flexibility may be needed to coordinate collections, deliveries and Urgent Requests.

Every item you help organise, every delivery you coordinate and every hour you contribute helps someone turn a house into a home.
