Join us for our first walk event in Canberra!
The EY Stride for a Cure Canberra Walk on Thursday, 12th November will be a day that brings people together to move with purpose and support a future free from cancer. It’s a chance to be part of something positive, energetic, and community‑driven, and our volunteers are what make it all possible.
The Event
Starting from Parliament House in Canberra, the event hub will be buzzing with activity as participants set out and return from a 21km loop around Burley Griffin Lake.
As always, none of it happens without our incredible volunteers.
We’re currently looking for:
- Bike Marshals (18+) – ride alongside participants, help guide the route, and keep everyone supported (confident casual riding is all you need)
- First Aid/Medical Volunteers (18+) – on or off bike, for those with first aid training
Whether you’ve volunteered before or want to try something new, we’d love to have you involved.
Who It’s Perfect For
Open to anyone aged 18+, this opportunity is ideal for:
- Individuals wanting to contribute in a meaningful way
- Corporate teams planning a CSR day with real impact
- Cycling enthusiasts who want to put their skills to good use
- Friends or colleagues looking to volunteer together
- Students or professionals seeking practical experience
- Anyone who enjoys being active, meeting people, and supporting their community
Why It Matters
Every interaction helps shape the day. From offering direction to cheering participants forward, you’ll help create a safe, welcoming, and motivating environment that participants will remember long after they cross the finish line.
