Midsumma Festival runs on volunteers and wouldn’t be possible without our community's incredible support.
Volunteering is a great way to make new friends, connect with like-minded people and support Midsumma Festival and the LGBTQIA+ communities we represent. Our volunteer team has grown over the years, and we’re always happy to welcome new members.
Festival volunteers help bring our major events to life, alongside a selection of cultural events throughout the Festival.
Midsumma Festival 2027 runs from Sunday 17 January to Sunday 7 February.
Key event dates:
- Midsumma Carnival: Sunday 17 January, Alexandra Gardens
- Midsumma Pride March: Sunday 31 January, St Kilda
- Victoria’s Pride Street Party: Sunday 7 February, Fitzroy and Collingwood
