Volunteer Recruiter (Online)

Every volunteer who joins Tanya's Home means more mums get the support they need to bring their children home. Right now, our Founder is doing almost everything herself, and we need help finding and welcoming the wonderful people who want to make a difference.
If you're a people person who loves connecting others with something meaningful, this one's for you. You don't need HR or recruitment experience. We'll show you how we work, and you'll have your own Claude AI account to help with reviewing applications, writing warm replies and keeping everything organised. It's all online, so you can help from anywhere.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Reading volunteer applications and sending friendly, personal replies
- Organising chats between applicants and our Founder
- Helping new volunteers through their checks, paperwork and welcome
- Keeping a simple tracker of who has applied and where they're up to
- Sharing our volunteer roles with universities, TAFEs, community groups and online
- Helping us find ways to make volunteers feel valued and part of the team
What You'll Gain:
- Real experience in recruitment, onboarding and volunteer management
- Your own Claude AI account, and skills in using AI for people work
- Experience you can talk about in job applications and interviews, especially in HR, community services or not-for-profit roles
- Helping build a growing charity's team from the ground up
- Knowing every volunteer you bring in helps keep families together
Who We'd Love to Hear From:
- Students in HR, business, social work, community services or psychology
- People with recruitment, HR, admin or customer service experience
- People returning to work who want to build skills and confidence
- Anyone warm, organised and great at connecting with people
Give What You Can:
There's no minimum time commitment. Whether you can give an hour here and there or a few hours a week, there's a place for you. Our volunteers work as a team and share the load, so every bit of time makes a difference.
Keeping Everyone Safe:
You'll be handling applicants' personal details, so a confidentiality agreement is required. Our Founder makes the final decision on every volunteer.
About Tanya's Home:
Tanya's Home Limited is a Victorian charity founded from lived experience. We support mothers affected by addiction, family violence and other complex circumstances who are involved with Child Protection, and help them keep or reunify with their children. Our support includes advocacy, Children's Court support, treatment and rehabilitation pathways, peer support, transport and emergency essentials. We hold DGR and PBI status and are preparing to open our first supported home for mothers. We're small, growing and full of heart, and our volunteers are a real part of the team.
Your Impact:
Every great volunteer you help bring in means more help for mums at court, more donations sorted and delivered, and more families brought back together. You'll be multiplying the impact of everyone else.
How to Apply:
Apply through SEEK Volunteer, or contact Georgina at [email protected] or on 0437 710 663. Not sure if you're the right fit? Apply anyway, or just get in touch for a chat. We'd love to hear from you.
We're recruiting for several roles at the moment and some overlap, so take a look at our other Tanya's Home opportunities on SEEK Volunteer too. If more than one appeals to you, let us know when you apply.
