About the role:
- Provide companionship to a lonely older person in their home or facility
- Be a friend and a confidant
- Share a cuppa, watch movies, play cards/games, have a chat
- No chores involved, no lifting and no transportation required
To do this you will need:
- Empathy for the elderly
- To commit to volunteer a minimum of 1 hour per week or fortnight
- To have a real desire to add to someone's quality of life
- Recommended to be 18 years or older
