Under the Alley Katz Australia Org. Katzbell Felis Catus Scientific Journal Standard Operating Procedures, appeals raised by authors of articles in the journal against publication restrictions are to be reviewed by an independent editorial review authority.
This role requires experience in reading and understanding veterinary science / veterinary medical articles, and it is therefore expected that you would have a broad veterinary science and veterinary medicine vocabulary to draw on.
More specifically, you would be responsible for generating a report that either supports or rejects the appeal.
The volunteer workload is likely to be low volume as the editorial team would refer cases for independent review on the instruction of the author. Authors would be given the opportunity to correct their article in the first instance.
