Do you enjoy driving and helping older people stay connected with their community? Join our volunteer team at Gracewood and make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents. As a Volunteer Bus Driver, you will safely transport residents on outings to shopping centres, cafes, and community destinations, helping them enjoy social connections and enriching experiences beyond the residence. You will work alongside staff and volunteers to create enjoyable and memorable outings.
About the role:
- Drive the Gracewood resident bus for local outings and excursions
- Assist residents to board and disembark safely
- Support residents during community outings
- Help create a friendly, welcoming, and enjoyable experience
- Flexible days and times available
Requirements:
- Current Light Rigid (LR) Driver Licence
- Friendly, patient, and reliable nature
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work respectfully with older people
- Willingness to complete the required volunteer screening and onboarding process
