Voluntary Director — Mumbulla Community Foundation Purpose • Provide governance and strategic oversight to grow local giving and community impact across the Bega Valley Key responsibilities Governance and fiduciary duties: steward purpose, strategy, risk, and compliance; uphold values and ethics. Strategy and impact: shape priorities, approve grants/scholarships frameworks, monitor outcomes. Partnerships and fundraising: act as an ambassador; help cultivate donors, sponsors, and collaborators. Finance and risk: review budgets, performance, policies, and risk settings. Board contribution: prepare for and attend meetings, serve on committees or working groups, support events. What we’re looking for Commitment to place and equity; collaborative mindset and sound judgment. Skills in one or more: governance, finance/audit, law, fundraising/philanthropy, communications/marketing, community services, disaster resilience, environment, youth, First Nations engagement, or lived experience. Willingness to manage conflicts of interest and meet director duties. Commitment and support Regular board meetings (in-person/online) plus occasional committee work and community events. Induction, resources, and mentoring provided; role is voluntary and unpaid.
