Middle Park FC x South Melbourne FC

Middle Park FC and South Melbourne FC are working together to build an inclusive football programme that supports neurodivergent and disabled children to access, participate in and enjoy football.

We’re looking for an All Abilities Program Coordinator to help us bring the programme to life and support its ongoing delivery.

This is a light-touch coordination role, working closely with the Head of Community and Inclusion Partnerships at South Melbourne FC, coaches from both clubs and the Middle Park FC team.

About the role

The Program Coordinator will help make sure the programme is organised, welcoming and runs smoothly.

The role will include:

  • being a key coordination point for the programme for Middle Park FC
  • working closely with South Melbourne FC’s Head of Community and Inclusion Partnerships
  • coordinating with coaches and volunteers from Middle Park FC
  • supporting participant registrations and communications with families
  • helping coordinate session logistics, equipment and programme requirements
  • supporting a welcoming and inclusive experience for participants and families
  • helping identify and resolve practical issues as they arise
  • supporting feedback and learnings to help shape the programme as it develops
  • helping promote the programme within the local community.

About you

We’re not looking for someone with a huge list of qualifications. We’d love someone who:

  • is organised, reliable and comfortable bringing people together
  • has a genuine interest in inclusive sport and community participation
  • communicates warmly and confidently with families, coaches and volunteers
  • enjoys making things happen behind the scenes
  • is comfortable working collaboratively across two football clubs
  • understands that every participant may need something a little different to enjoy football.

Experience in community sport, disability inclusion, neurodiversity, programme coordination or working with children would be valuable, but it isn't essential.

The commitment

This is intended to be a manageable, hands-on role rather than a large administrative commitment. The coordinator will have support from both Middle Park FC and South Melbourne FC.

The programme currently runs at Alan Davidson Field, Albert Park, with coaches from both clubs.
