Social Media & Event Assistant – Help Grow Brisbane’s Neurodivergent Community

Love social media, creating content and meeting new people?

NeuroSparks is an incorporated Australian not-for-profit creating fun, welcoming spaces where neurodivergent adults can connect, make friends and feel they belong.

Around 50 people attended our latest Melbourne event, and we're excited to bring NeuroSparks to Brisbane!

We're looking for a friendly, creative volunteer to help promote our new Brisbane community and support our monthly events.

What you'll do

• Film short videos and take photos at events (with consent).

• Create Instagram and Facebook reels, stories and posts.

• Help promote upcoming events and grow our community.

• Support our Community Lead with activities, setup and welcoming newcomers.

• Bring your own creative ideas!

Make the role your own

Love filming, editing or social media? You'll have the freedom to experiment, develop your skills and take creative ownership of our Brisbane content.

You'll receive guidance, Canva templates and support from our Melbourne team.

Why volunteer?

Gain practical experience in content creation, social media and community events while meeting new people and helping neurodivergent adults build friendships and feel they belong.

Time commitment

Approximately 4–8 hours per month, including one in-person event on a weekend afternoon and flexible content creation between events.

We're initially planning a three-month pilot. Event dates and venues are still being arranged.

Who we're looking for

Someone friendly, reliable and creative, with an interest in social media, photography or video.

Canva, Instagram or video-editing experience is a bonus. No formal qualifications required.

You must be Brisbane-based and available to attend monthly events in person to capture content.
