Bring your skills, share your ideas and help shape the future of an award-winning community sporting club!

Ellenbrook Vipers Rugby Union Club is looking for passionate, proactive and community-minded people to join our volunteer team as we prepare for an exciting 2027 season and beyond.

Whether you have professional skills to share, want to gain experience, or simply love the idea of giving back to your community, we'd love to hear from you!

You don't need to know anything about rugby to make a difference at the Vipers.

About the Vipers

We're more than just a rugby club. We're a community.

Based at Woodlake Sports Ground in Ellenbrook, we're a proud, family-focused, volunteer-run club committed to creating an inclusive, welcoming and supportive environment for children, families and the wider community.

We're incredibly proud to have been recognised as:

  • 2024 SportWest Community Club of the Year
  • 2025 Healthway Champions of Rugby – Healthy Club of the Year

In 2026, we welcomed more than 160 players across eight junior competition teams, alongside Little Rugby, Walla Rugby and Social Seniors. We also proudly launched our first U13 Girls team.

As we look to 2027, we're focused on expanding girls' and women's rugby, strengthening junior development, building community partnerships and growing our year-round programs.

And we're looking for people who want to be part of that journey!

Opportunities to Get Involved

We're welcoming expressions of interest from people who would like to join our committee or support specific areas of the club.

Some of the opportunities we'd love additional skills and support in include (but not limited to):

  • Marketing, Social Media & Communications
    Sponsorship & Business Partnerships
  • Grants & Funding
  • Grounds, Facilities & Equipment
  • Merchandise & Club Apparel
  • Events, Fundraising & Community Engagement
  • Kiosk Manager & Volunteer Coordinator
  • Administration & Club Development
  • Health & Wellbeing Coordinator

We're also open to hearing from people with skills or experience in other areas who feel they could make a valuable contribution.

About You

We're looking for people who are:

  • Reliable, approachable and willing to work as part of a team.
  • Organised, proactive and able to follow through on commitments.
  • Comfortable communicating and collaborating with others to share their knowledge, experience & ideas.
  • Passionate about community, volunteering and making a positive difference.
  • Working with Children Check & National Police Clearance required

Previous sporting club or committee experience isn't essential. We value enthusiasm, initiative and a willingness to contribute just as much as professional experience.

Time & Flexibility

Commitments vary depending on the role. Formal committee positions generally involve monthly meetings and ongoing responsibilities, while other volunteer opportunities may offer flexible hours or project-based involvement.

Some tasks can be completed remotely, while others involve attending the club or community events. We'll work with interested volunteers to explore opportunities suited to their skills and availability.

Committee Nominations & AGM

If you're interested in a formal committee position, nominations for our 2027 committee close at midnight on Sunday, 8 November 2026 (AWST).

Our Annual General Meeting will be held on:

  • Sunday, 22 November 2026
  • 3:00pm
  • Ellenbrook

Formal committee nominations are subject to our constitution and nomination or election processes. Expressions of interest in general volunteering and project support are also welcome and are not limited to the AGM nomination period.
