Help Build an Even Stronger Illawarra – Volunteer with Lions
Your community needs people like you.
There’s a Lions Club near you
This volunteering opportunity connects you with Lions Clubs across the Illawarra Community, including Wollongong, Dapto, Corrimal, Thirroul, Bulli, Shellharbour, Warilla, Albion Park and surrounding suburbs.
You don’t need to know which club is right for you. Tell us where you live and what interests you, and we’ll help connect you with a local Lions Club and an opportunity to get involved.
The Illawarra is known for its strong community spirit. Every day, Lions volunteers work alongside local people to support families, improve neighbourhoods, assist community organisations and help wherever help is needed.
Now we'd love you to join us as a volunteer.
Lions clubs across the Illawarra welcome people who want to make a positive difference in their local community. Whether you can volunteer once in a while or more regularly, every contribution matters.
As a volunteer, you could help with:
* Community events and fundraising activities
* Supporting local charities and community organisations
* Youth development and school projects
* Environmental and coastal clean-up activities
* Health initiatives including vision, hearing and diabetes awareness
* Community festivals and local celebrations
No previous experience is needed and there is no expectation that you become a member.
Simply volunteer alongside local Lions members, meet new people and enjoy making a real difference in your own community.
Whether you're a student, working professional, parent, retiree or someone looking for a rewarding way to give back, you'll be warmly welcomed.
Many volunteers choose to become Lions because they enjoy the friendships and sense of purpose they discover. If that's something you'd like to explore later, we'd be happy to tell you more—but there's absolutely no obligation.
If you're looking for a meaningful way to support your local community, we'd love to welcome you.
Come and help your community alongside Lions.
Where There's a Need, There's a Lion.
