Key duties
Volunteers will help run We Are Mobilise’s 50-50 raffle across the Gold Coast 500 weekend (23rd-25th of October). Reporting to a Team Lead, you’ll sell raffle tickets, greet and engage with race-goers, explain how the raffle works and where the money goes, and help keep the raffle stand organised. Volunteers will also help spread the word about We Are Mobilise and our work to solve homelessness in Australia.
Skills and experience needed
We are looking for friendly, approachable and reliable volunteers who enjoy meeting and talking to people, and who bring plenty of energy to a busy event. Good communication and customer service skills are helpful, and experience with cash or card sales is a bonus but not essential.
Organisational background
We Are Mobilise is an Australian charity proving that homelessness is solvable, through the country’s first and only Direct Giving programs. We work with 50+ charity partners nationally to fund people directly, helping them secure or keep a home through Direct Giving support. To date, Mobilise has distributed over $4.5M directly to people experiencing homelessness.
