If you enjoy working as part of a friendly team and helping others through hospitality, we would love to hear from you. Volunteer shifts available: Tuesday mornings (once a fortnight) and every Friday morning. Ask us about the exact start and finish times.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting with food preparation for morning tea and lunch service.
• Serving meals, tea and coffee to clients.
• Washing dishes and cleaning kitchen equipment.
• Cleaning as you go and helping keep work areas tidy.
• Assisting with setting up and packing down food service areas.
• Working cooperatively with staff and other volunteers in a busy kitchen environment.
• Helping create a welcoming and respectful atmosphere for all Centre visitors.

Every meal served helps create a sense of dignity, belonging and care for those who visit the Centre. As a Kitchen Assistant volunteer, you will play an important role in ensuring clients receive a quality meal and a positive experience each day.
