MOW Kitchen Assistant

An Esperance Meals On Wheels (MOW) kitchen hand is needed to assist the Meal Service Administrator and Cook to prepare food for deliveries.
Meals are prepared Mon - Fri with volunteers committing to one morning per week as part of a set roster, however volunteers can opt to do more than one morning if they would like.
No cooking skills are required!
Volunteering is for whatever amount of time you can give! Many will volunteer 8:30am - 11.30am, but we are happy with whatever time you can spare.

For over 65 years, Meals on Wheels has played a crucial role nationally in supporting the health and well-being of over 200,000 older Australians every year across our member network of over 590 service locations.
Our shared purpose is to support well-nourished, independent and connected communities through the delivery of a nutritious meal, social connection and a wellbeing check by our dedicated volunteer workforce.
This role involves assisting the cook with food preparation and serving prepared food into the MOW containers. MOW containers are marked and packed ready to be delivered by the volunteers who come in from about 11.30 to do deliveries.
All volunteers will be inducted, given an orientation and will have completed the Food Safety Training before commencing in the role.
