Volunteer Usher

The Esperance Civic Centre is looking for a volunteer usher to help at shows and events. Tasks:

• Checking tickets and showing patrons to their seats.
• Assist in the operations of the Esperance Civic Centre during performance or event
• When show starts help bar staff with clean up and assist with interval preparation and tidy foyer, emptying bins if full.
• Monitor patron’s movements during show, and monitor front door during performance of show.
• Monitor the front door during intermission to ensure no alcohol is taken from the building.
• Notify volunteer coordinator or Front Of House manager of disruptive patrons and refer complaints.
• Allow patrons time to exit auditorium (or Reception Room) after performance, locking doors behind them.
• Ensure high standards of public safety are observed and monitor work place procedures to ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety legislation whilst on duty.
• To attend relevant training when offered.
• Other duties as agreed.
