Blue Door Kitchen Assistant

Help us create a hope-filled, warm, and inviting atmosphere for our patrons as we prepare and provide, snacks, meals, and a listening ear. Volunteers will assist with café service, prepare and serve food, clean the kitchen and centre, maintain daily supplies, remove waste, and meet simple requests for assistance by our patrons.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work in a team environment to achieve daily tasks

• Serve our patrons in a professional, confidential, friendly and timely manner

• Follow the directions of the daily kitchen team leader

• Work consistent with current skill and competency levels and seek advice/training for new or unfamiliar tasks

• Compliance with organisational policies and procedures, legislation, Health, Safety, Food, environment and diversity and a commitment to quality systems and continuous improvement.
