Volunteer Drivers in Own Vehicles - helping our community one drive at a time

PTA (Peninsula Transport Assist Inc.) is a local community transport service for the Frankston and Mornington Peninsula Region.

To be a driver you must: • Have a current, appropriate driver's licence • Provide PTA with a copy of your driver’s licence once renewed • Ensure relevant road laws and safety standards are maintained • Watch a series of eLearning videos provided by PTA • Be available on a regular basis to drive for PTA, but we are flexible.

Commitment

Regular - more than 6 months

Training

Independent driving test will be organised and OH& S training provided.

Time required

This will vary according to appointments. Our Transport Coordinator will contact the closest volunteer and provide them with the opportunity to take up the job, before moving onto the next closest volunteer.

Reimbursement

50 cents/kilometre offered to help with petrol costs

Working with Children Check will only be required if volunteers choose to work with children.
