Justice of the Peace

A Justice of the Peace is appointed by the Attorney-General to act as an independent and objective witness to documents people use for official or legal purposes.
The Justice of the Peace would need to be registered with the Attorney Generals office and be willing to join a dedicated team of volunteers that provide a service during City of Prospect library hours.
Applicants will need to:-
- be a Justice of the Peace registered with the SA Attorney General’s Department
- have good communication skills
- be customer service focused
- have patience, understanding and tolerance for cultural and varied backgrounds
- Become a registered volunteer of City of Prospect.
- A member of the Royal Association of Justice SA (preferred but not essential).
- Ability to efficiently manage (approx. 10-20 clients) during a 2-3 hour shift

Volunteers are required to have good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to assist people from diverse backgrounds.
