Retail Customer Service Assistants - Geelong West

We are seeking friendly volunteers to assist in our Recycle shop which supports people needing care, treatment and accommodation while undergoing life saving treatment for cancers. If you are willing to assist this worthy cause by volunteering in the Recycle shop you will be requested to maintain the level of service and presentation providing customer service in a retail environment desired by our organisation.

Tasks include:

Helping with receiving, sorting, pricing and displaying of donated items for resale to the community.
Displaying and rotating merchandise to keep the store fresh and inviting.
Maintaining a clean, tidy, and clutter-free store environment for the safety of everyone.
Providing friendly and helpful service to all customers.
Handling cash and EFTPOS transactions efficiently if required.

Regular flexible hours and days are available to fit in with your availability.

Training

Orientation, on the job training with ongoing support.

Time required

10am to 4pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Regular half or full days available.

Requirements

National Police Certificate
Working with Children Check

National Police check or be willing to obtain which will be reimbursed by organisation if necessary to obtain. WWCC or be willing to obtain. Some customer service skills would be of an advantage but not necessary. Have good communication skills with the public & fellow volunteers. Be willing to learn, working in a friendly team envirnoment. We welcome people from a diverse background also young people over the age of 17.
