The community lunch at Osborne Hall provides a nutritious meal each week/fortnight to vulnerable community along with social connections in a fun and welcoming environment. Food Crew Volunteers support with food preparation and service delivery.

We are seeking skilled volunteers to support staff and our volunteer team with cooking meals and food preparation.

Responsibilities:

  • Create rotating nutritious lunch menus/recipes that fit community needs
  • Support staff by preparing shopping lists
  • Support with the preparation and cooking of menu items
  • Assists with the setting up Osborne Hall for the Community Lunch
  • Cleaning up after the lunch
  • Assist community with checking in on arrival
  • Maintain a clean work area
  • Support community to build social connections
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Participate in training opportunities
  • Attend volunteer meetings as needed

Requirements of the volunteer role: Volunteers should be over 18 however there are opportunities for young people aged 16-18 to give their time.
