Walking Group Volunteer - Clare

Helping Hand Aged Care, Clare, is seeking volunteers to assist residents to attend our walking group.

Either one on one or in small groups, you will be responsible for supporting residents with short walks within the residential care home and in the surrounding community.

Requirements:

~ have the ability to build relationships with people who are aged, frail and cognitively impaired ~ be enthusiastic, flexible and motivated. ~ be physically able to push wheelchairs along footpaths over a distance greater than 500m. ~ have clear communication skills. ~ have the ability to work as part of a team. ~ be able to maintain privacy and confidentiality. ~ Attend any mandatory training sessions, as required. ~ Have or be willing to obtain a National Police Check (at no cost to you) ~ Abide by all policies and procedures and OH&S protocol
