MDFA's Peer Support Groups provide a safe and welcoming space for people living with aged-related macular degeneration to share their stories and ask questions of their peers. The Facilitator role is well suited to someone with good communications skills and confidence in public speaking. Ideally you will have experience facilitating a support group and/or demonstrate the ability to lead a balanced discussion. Personal experience with macular disease is desirable, not necessary.

Reading Together volunteers will be part of the local school community in the Derwent Valley, Cygnet, Dover & Huonville areas and in 2024 will expand to the Northern Suburbs of Hobart in Southern Tasmania. Working with identified children, the volunteer will assist the children to improve their literacy skills through reading together and creating a safe and supportive environment.
We are looking for an executive assistant to be the supportive force that empowers our senior leadership. The ideal person for the job will be a energetic problem solver with exceptional communication skills and a knack for detail. You will preferably have experience working in an office environment, performing administrative duties and providing support to management. Given the changing nature of the executive volunteer landscape, we rely on our assistants for high flexibility.
