This role is varied, ranging from assisting aged care residents and Club Connection participants with particular activities or just being there for a chat, providing company and support.
The committee looks after the association’s affairs. It has legal duties under the Associations Incorporation Reform Act 2012 (the Act). It is sometimes referred to as the ‘management committee’ or ‘board’.
Volunteer required to assist with transporting clients to appointments and events, explaining documents and forms to clients, assisting Multicultural Officers in completing paperwork, advocating for clients when required and to assist in one off events when needed. You will need to have good interpersonal skills, be approachable, demonstrate a genuine interest in supporting refugees and be able to communicate well with both refugees and workers.
Mature, responsible, well-presented people capable of working independently. High standard customer service, enjoy working with public, friendly manner.
