    Greek speaking volunteer visitors are needed to visit socially and culturally isolated residents in an Aged Care Homes located in the City of Monash. We have many Greek residents who are very isolated. You can make a difference to someone's life and your own. Some Greek residents are in English speaking facilities and would love to speak with someone in their own language.

    We have two lovely ladies in need of companionship at an aged care facility in Burwood and in her own home in Croydon. Do you have experience with Dementia? Do you enjoy spending time with the elderly? The resident at the aged care home would love to have a companion to talk to, hand massages and listen to music. She is bedbound and lonely. The other lady lives in her own home and is very lonely. She is 92 and would love to chat over a cuppa.

    We are currently looking for Greek speaking volunteers for aged care facilities in Clayton and Oakleigh. These residents are socially and culturally isolated and would benefit greatly from regular contact by a visitor/friend.     Using your own vehicle, assist those in the community who can't drive due to illness or circumstance get out for medical appointments, funerals, shopping, exercise, social connection. Some drives may be only 100 metres and some as far as 100 kms. Drivers are never asked to do more than they are comfortable with. Some reimbursement is available to cover petrol costs. Drivers are kept connected with a newsletter and monthly morning teas.

    25 seater bus drivers needed in Frankston/Langwarrin area. Need at least a Light Rigid licence. Peninsula Transport Assist is a not-for-profit organisation assisting disadvantaged people in our community to access services using volunteer drivers (in their own vehicles). Bus bookings are an important source of income for P.T.A. and keeps the organisation viable. (The service provided by the drivers using their own vehicles is not a source of income for P.T.A..)
