Coming to ED as a patient or family member can be daunting and people sometimes require assistance or reassurance. We are looking for volunteers to provide wayfinding assistance to patients and families in the ED waiting room at Rockingham General Hospital.
The volunteer patient transport service provides transport to local residents with no other means of getting to their outpatient appointments at Rockingham General Hospital.
We are looking for people who have a few hours to spare each week to visit with patients on our Aged Care Rehabilitation Ward at Rockingham General Hospital. The role would involve: -visiting and chatting with patients on a one to one basis or in group activities - engaging patients in activities they enjoy such as board games or reading, playing cards etc - accompanying and encouraging the person with walking if appropriate and as advised by their nurse or allied health practitioner.
