As Habitat Australia's Event Admin Volunteer, you’ll play a vital role in assisting the Corporate Partnerships team by supporting our team with all event related tasks prepping a large event. We need your amazing help to ensure our event will be hugely successful by being a strong team member over 4 -5 weeks 5 hours a week approximately.
In 2025, we celebrate our 20th anniversary, and we're gearing up for an exciting series of celebrations and activities — but we can't do it without you! We're looking for a dynamic volunteer with event management experience to craft an events masterplan. This role is perfect for someone who loves the nitty-gritty of event planning and is excited by the challenge of planning a detailed schedule for a variety of activities.
The Emergency Relief Food Pantry rescues food and prepares food parcels for disadvantaged members of the local community. We are looking for volunteers to assist with the collection of food, and the packing and distribution of these food parcels on weekdays from 9am - 1pm. Help is also needed after those hours on some days to receive & unpack/store rescued food (e.g, 10am - 2pm, or 12pm - 4pm.) Some moderate to heavy lifting will be required, and drivers will need a clean driver's licence.
BinderKeepers Inc is community orientated and provides members books covering from baby to senior ages for borrowing. Approximately once per month, helpers are required to support experienced volunteers with setting up Events, keeping tables tidy and packing up at the end of a day. These days are very social for Volunteers as they meet and greet the general public.
Basic bookkeeping experience is required to support the Committee. Treasurer hours can be entirely after hours if required (meetings are usually always held outside work hours) and on a Tuesday or Thursday if held off-line. This role is greatly appreciated in relieving other committee members of additional duties. The role is especially suited to lovers of books / jigsaw puzzles and/or games. The role is crucial for our organisation to continue.
