Lifeline Narrm exists to support people in crisis and save the lives of those experiencing thoughts of suicide. Our Telephone Crisis Support Volunteers are essential in making a difference in the lives of Victorians who call 13 11 14.
The Registered Nurse with Mental Health Experience helps provide psychiatric care, support and case management to refugees and people seeking asylum. The role involves mental health triage, assessments, provision of direct support, therapeutic intervention, coordination and follow up of care and referral to internal and external mental health and psychiatric services according to need.
The Orygen Assist program provides essential items including non-perishable foods, clothing, and hygiene products to young people & their families. This position supports our volunteer-run service by completing deliveries of online clinician orders.
This volunteer role is in-person at our Parkville site with flexible days/ times (Between Mon-Fri, 9am-4pm). Tasks include completing Orygen Assist deliveries as required across our sites in the Northwest region of Melbourne and pick up & delivery of stock orders from our charity partners as needed (e.g. Foodbank & Pinchapoo).
Orygen Assist is our volunteer-run program that provides access to essential items for young people experiencing mental ill-health and their families including non-perishable food, clothing, and hygiene products.
Orygen Assist volunteers provide front-facing assistance to young people and their families at our Parkville drop-in, as well as administrative support for the operational running of the service.
