The Event Volunteer is the friendly and welcoming face of Genealogy SA at events and workshops both on site at the Genealogy Library and at other venues. He/she is responsible for promoting the Society as an organisation of choice in regard to family history research and membership. The role also involves assisting with the set-up for the event, such as setting out chairs, laying out brochures, meeting guests and checking registration lists as guests arrive.
The Library Reception Desk Volunteer is the friendly and welcoming face of Genealogy SA. They provide guidance to members, visitors and those who call us to use the Society’s family history information resources. In this role, volunteers will find themselves assisting a variety of people with their genealogical research, providing them with a great opportunity for growth in their own learning.
You will provide outstanding customer service to museum visitors, promote exhibitions & events and assist with the museum daily operation. Volunteering experiences at the RAAFA WA Aviation Heritage Museum are certain to be worthwhile and meaningful, with flexible options to fit in with your lifestyle. The Aviation Heritage Museum is open seven days a week, 10am to 4pm, with volunteering roles available during these times, either at the museum, or the storage facility located in Willetton.
