We require a mature, experienced, business oriented and skilled grant writer and fundraiser to assist the museum with writing and submitting grant applications. Will also be required to source quotes, funding and grant opportunities and give advice and guidance to the committee.

An administration assistant is needed to support the General Manager and company secretary to maintain the important work and cultural significance of the Australian jazz museum. Must have experience in MS Office and be willing to train in the use of Salesforce. General maintenance of the museum when required and assisting with group tours.

• Welcome visitors, promote Museum, provide helpful responses
• Assist with retail sales, maintain visitor safety and security
• Commit to at least two three-hour shifts per month

• Inspect, repair, and maintain miniature railway equipment and infrastructure
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and operational issues
• Work independently or as part of a team; enjoy model engineering

• Researching and applying for grants, sponsorships, and funding opportunities
• Writing compelling grant applications and completing grant acquittals
• Building relationships with donors, supporters, and local businesses

• Guide visitors, answer questions about WWII in the Pacific
• General knowledge of war in the Pacific is advantageous
• Research skills, high personal appearance standard, 2 days/month

• Clean and sand surfaces before mixing and applying paint
• Ability to paint required; training provided onboard

• Assist cleaning crew with wiping walls, vacuuming carpets and mopping
• Help maintain cabin cleanliness and polish windows throughout the vessel
• Support housekeeping operations to keep all areas presentable for guests

• Service and overhaul ship's machinery including 7 diesel engines
• Work on compressed air, hydraulic, refrigeration, and air con systems
• Collaborate with volunteers to restore historic lighthouse tender

• Using tools to remove rust, prepare surfaces, apply paint
• No experience required, training provided for tool usage
