Community based organisation providing support services to the frail aged and younger people with disabilities. Services include, transport, weekend activity programs, in homes domestic assistance, personal care and respite both in home and centre based. Melville Cares supports the Wellness approach to Community Home Care. This is based on the philosophy of supporting older people and people with disabilities to be more independent at home and in the community, thereby enhancing their quality of life and/or preventing inappropriate admission to long term residential care.
