Requirements

National Police Certificate

• Connect with individuals and carers to understand what matters to them and where support could help. • Activate and strengthen support networks, such as family, friends and neighbours, local clubs, faith groups, volunteer groups, or informal supports. • Identify practical ways the community can help, such as dropping off groceries, reading with someone, taking a pet for a walk, or offering friendly social contact. • Explore community resources and services, being curious and willing to find out who/what could assist the person. • Promote neighbour-to-neighbour support by normalising both asking for and offering help. • Provide regular check-ins for an agreed duration, either in person or through phone/online contact. • Work within program guidelines, sharing wellbeing concerns with the program coordinator as needed. • Maintain confidentiality, respect, and healthy boundaries always.
